Village Community Mentors

Having a baby can be a time of great joy and excitement, but also very physically and emotionally demanding. A positive transition can contribute to the mother’s confidence and well-being. The Village Foundation is partnering with the University of South Australia to develop a program of peer support for mothers.

“I really thoroughly enjoyed it.
I gained insight and knowledge that I thought I had, which I didn’t.
The more who do this program, the more they are thinking outside the box.”

Workplace Programs

Village provides holistic support for women in the workplace. We educate leaders and businesses interested in strengthening inclusive corporate culture. Our app and comprehensive educational and mentorship programs bridge the divide by connecting seasoned mentors within the company with new parents who are also part of the organization. The expertise is already at your disposal, and these experienced parents have a wealth of knowledge to share. This not only bolsters social support but also elevates productivity and enhances staff retention. We firmly believe that corporations bear a social responsibility to create and maintain a healthy work environment, and we go a step further by making it a standard practice. After all, the literature is unequivocal - many parents won't seek help on their own.

Workplace Program

Her Ambassador

Her Ambassador is a workplace mentor program for parents. We provide education and conversational tools designed for postpartum support and early parenting so that experienced members of the organisation are equipped and knowledgable in supporting parents as they return to the workplace.

Workplace Program

Return to Wellbeing

This program offers tools and education for women in the workplace who have returned from leave and are navigating the new reality of parenthood and paid employment. Designed to be delivered online, it offers a flexible option with trained lived-experience facilitators who create a safe and open space for participants to share and connect as they explore tools for achieving success at home, and in the workplace.

When employees are adequately supported to meet these dual commitments their ability to thrive increases - this is good for families, business and society
